Heaton House Farm Wedding – Alex + Alex

Heaton House Farm Wedding

Alex and Alex’s Heaton House Farm wedding was nothing short of awesome. I mean, any wedding where I get to go on a bouncy castle is always going to be a winner! Throw lamb feeding and some gorgeous golden light into the mix and you have the makings of an amazing day. Here is Alex to all you about their Heaton House Farm wedding:

How did you both meet?
We went to school together, we met at age 12.

What was the proposal like?
Romantic and magical. Alex proposed on a gondola ride through Venice, he got down on one knee and surprised me with a beautiful ring and the question to be his wife.

How did you find wedding planning? Do you have any tips for other brides?
I’m quite an organised person so once we had our date and venue we pretty much booked everything we wanted at the start and then just confirmed over time. My advice would be to keep a little book of when you pay deposits and how much you have left to pay. Most places/vendors only take a deposit and then want the final payment a month before the wedding so best to keep track of how many pennies you need to save.

Why did you choose Heaton House Farm your wedding venue?
We loved Heaton house mostly for its location but we loved that each part of the wedding was in a different room so it meant we didn’t have to kick our guests out into a waiting area while the room was turned around from ceremony to breakfast to night doo.

What was your favourite part of your wedding day?
The party at the end of course, having all of our closest friends and family dancing with us.

What song did you have for your first dance and why did you choose it?
We chose walking on a dream by empire of the sun. One of the first films we watched together was “the hall pass” for which this was he soundtrack too and was always “ our song”.

Our wedding was perfect from start to finish, we literally walked on cloud 9 for weeks after and got to relive our amazing day all over again when we got our beautiful pictures, it really was just perfect!

We literally loved everyone who made our day special, boothique with the amazing white bouncy castle, precious things for our beautiful flowers and ceremony dress, wube for our perfect centre pieces, cakes by design who made our beautiful Disney cake and most of all white closet for my beautiful Jenny packham dress!!
