Embracing the Elements: Dani & Michael’s Rain-Kissed Pre-Wedding Shoot at Tatton Park
Some couples bring sunshine with them wherever they go—but Dani and Michael brought something even better: joy, laughter, and a brilliant sense of adventure in the rain.
We met up at the stunning Tatton Park, one of Cheshire’s most iconic locations, for their pre-wedding shoot. The skies had plans of their own, with steady rain falling throughout our time together—but instead of hiding under umbrellas, Dani and Michael leaned into the weather with grace and good humour. And honestly, it made for the most beautifully atmospheric photographs.
Wearing wellies and wide smiles, they wandered hand in hand through the estate’s lush parkland, sharing stories and jokes as the rain glistened on the autumn leaves. Their lovely dog—equally unfazed by the drizzle—trotted happily alongside them, adding extra energy and personality to the shoot. It was clear from the start: this little trio has a special bond.
One of the highlights of Tatton Park is its wild deer, and we were lucky enough to spot them chilling out reight near us. There’s something quietly magical about being in their presence, especially in such an enchanting setting, and it added an extra touch of wonder to the day.
Rainy weather often brings out rich colours and soft light—and that, combined with Dani and Michael’s chemistry, gave us a series of images that felt honest, romantic and totally them.
If this shoot was anything to go by, their wedding was always going to be full of character—and it did not disappoint. You can read all about their New Year’s Eve celebration at Holmes Mill here: Dani & Michael’s Wedding at Holmes Mill
